# Changelog
All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.

## [26.10.01.0] - 2026-10-01
### Added
- Recorder: the camera input format is chosen for you. IceTime now prefers a raw format (YUY2, then UYVY / HDYC / NV12) at 1920x1080 and 25p over Motion JPEG, which some devices (e.g. Datavideo CAP-1) report as their default and which records badly (decoded JPEG frames, uneven frame timing). In the format list, the recommended format is bold and unsuitable ones are grey - compressed (MJPEG/H.264), interlaced, below 720p or not 16:9 - with a legend in the tooltip. Nothing is hidden: on an old USB 2.0 grabber the grey one may be the only one that works. A saved MJPEG choice is replaced by the raw format when the device offers one.
- Recorder: the output video format follows the input. The recommended output is the one with the same height as the camera input at 25 fps (bold); larger ones (upscaling adds nothing), smaller ones (lose detail) and 50/60p (double file size) are grey. When you switch the input format and the current output no longer matches, IceTime switches the output to the matching one by itself. The output also follows the frame-rate family of the input (25/50 -> 25p, 30/59.94/60 -> 30p; halving is the only clean conversion). When no output matches the input at all (e.g. a 480p camera), the least bad one is bold and pre-selected instead of a fully grey list. If you deliberately pick a grey output, IceTime keeps your choice for that input (also after a restart) and only re-adjusts when you change the input format. Picking a grey input or output format shows a short warning with the reason and the recommended option; the old blanket "MJPG not recommended" warning is gone, because on a webcam MJPG 1080p30 can be the best available choice.
- Re-encode: the output video format in the export window works the same way as in the recorder. IceTime reads the height and frame rate of the source video (first mark, in the background so the window opens immediately) and marks the matching output bold and selects it; larger, smaller, interlaced and other-frame-rate-family formats are grey but still selectable. A deliberately chosen grey format is kept for the same source and re-adjusted only when the source video changes; choosing a grey format shows a short warning with the reason and the recommended option.
- Find and replace: Enter runs Find next; Replace and Replace all keep the dialog open and report 'Replaced n cell(s)'; Find shows 'Match n of m' or 'Not found'; Help tooltip and plain-text help.
- Playlist from videos: unsupported, duplicate and missing files are skipped when added and reported once in a status line with the video count, the last video folder is remembered, and the confirmation shows the count and playlist path.
- Re-encode: options are grouped under Output / Video slots / Content / Target sections, an invalid output folder shows an inline warning and disables Start instead of a pop-up, a short notification confirms how many marks were queued, and the hidden double-click for the writer string is explained in a tooltip.
- Create new marks: the window shows 'Will be saved as: folder\file.xml' while you fill it in (the marks folder from Settings and the exact file name the Save dialog will offer), Enter saves, and the pencil buttons say which list they edit.
- Presentation: the Controls ribbon group (Elgato, Shuttle Pro) moved from the Main tab to the Settings tab, so the main ribbon fits on smaller screens.
- Presentation: 'Shift time...' in the Actions group replaces the hidden quick-access menu with 'Move selected action -1 / +1 second'. It opens a small dialog: number of seconds (negative = earlier), a preview of the first selected mark, Apply. CTRL+SHIFT+LEFT/RIGHT shifts the selected marks by one second, CTRL+SHIFT+Z undoes the last shift. 'Find missing videos...' moved next to Reload marks in the File group.
- Presentation, File group: one Open marks dialog instead of Open marks + Open playlist (both opened the same XML files; the dialog now starts in the folder of the last opened file), Recent files renamed to Recent marks, and Playlists 1-3 moved next to the mark actions (they are the targets of 'send to playlist', not recent files).
- Main window: the menu is reorganised by task - Lists, Video (Trim video, Video Converter, Playlist from videos), Marks (Marks report, Check XML files, Open recent in Presentation), Cloud, Settings (Settings, Export / Import Settings, License) and Help - so the old Commands and Tools menus that split the same tools in two places are gone.
- XML file checker rebuilt: a folder tree on the left (green = all videos found, red = videos missing, orange = file could not be read; a folder shows the worst state of its files, 'Problems only' hides the green ones) and a detail on the right with the missing videos of the selected file or folder (mark, camera slot, path). After the check IceTime looks for moved videos in the checked folder, the recording folder and the last used folder; unambiguous finds appear as suggested paths and one click on 'Use suggestions' writes them. 'Find file...' fixes one video everywhere it is referenced, 'Find folder...' fixes every missing video of the selected file or folder that exists in the chosen folder by name, 'Open in Presentation' (or a double-click) opens the XML. Progress is shown under the tree instead of a pop-up, fixed files turn green immediately, the last folder is remembered, a folder can be dropped onto the window, and the report is saved as CSV of the problem files only.
- Video Converter: the output format and bitrate are recommended from the first video in the list, in the same style as the recorder and Re-encode (bold = recommended, grey = not recommended, nothing hidden). The converter is meant for downsizing and unifying clips, so the recommended format is FHD1080 in the frame-rate family of the source (a 4K GoPro clip is downscaled; upscaling, interlaced, 50/60p and the other frame-rate family are grey). The recommended bitrate follows the selected output format (720p 6, 1080p 8, 1440p 15, 4K 20 Mbps, more for 50/60p) and never exceeds the estimated bitrate of the source video, because a higher bitrate than the source only makes the file bigger. The source resolution, frame rate and bitrate are shown under the file list; picking a grey option shows the reason and is remembered for the same source.
- Transition window: a live preview. Two sample pictures with the selected transition running between them (there and back, at the selected speed) - you see the effect the moment you open the window or pick another type.
- Settings: the two 'Auto save actions' switches (Action creator / Presentation) are gone - marks are always saved automatically (every few marks, once a minute and when a window is closed), exactly as they were for everyone with the switches on. The switches reset themselves after every update anyway, and with them off the app asked 'Save changes?' instead of saving, which is how marks got lost.
- Video decoding on the NVIDIA GPU is automatic: when an NVIDIA card is detected, playback during recording, compact clips and export decode on the GPU; otherwise, or when the GPU refuses to open the video, decoding falls back to the CPU by itself. The 'Enable NVIDIA GPU decoding' switches in Settings and in the recording player are replaced by one 'Force CPU video decoding' switch in Settings > Advanced for troubleshooting only.
- Action Creator: a health strip in the top-right corner of the ribbon - five small icons (recording, disk, saved marks, ice time, tablet/Marker connection) that stay visible whichever ribbon tab is active. Grey = off, green = fine, orange = attention (unsaved marks, low disk, recording continued in a new file), red = problem (save failed, tablet disconnected). Hover for the detail, click to fix it right there: open the recorder, open the recording folder, save now, start/pause the clock, reconnect.
- Action Creator: hide the side panels and get a much bigger recorder picture. One button (or **F11**) hides the game header with the rink, the players panel and the mark detail; the recorder then takes the whole area and the picture is about three times larger — useful when you are watching the camera feed rather than filling in details. The picture now always keeps a 16:9 shape as it grows, and the file name and path stay attached under it. The panels keep working while hidden, so every shortcut bound to them does its job as before, and the choice is remembered between sessions.
- Copy mark: right-click a mark in the Action Creator and choose "Copy mark" (it is also on the ribbon) to get an exact copy — note, tags, stops and their drawings included. The copy lands directly BELOW the original and the marks after it are renumbered, so the order stays readable; only the new copy is left selected, ready to edit. The same right-click works in the Action Creator's player window.
- Presentation: 'Video info' (Settings tab) now lists every video used by the marks in the open file - green, orange or red on the left, the reasons and the properties on the right (codec and profile, resolution, frame rate, keyframe interval, bitrate, audio, encoder, index position). It reads only the file index, so even a 2 GB file is checked instantly. The typical red case is a recording with keyframes 10 seconds apart: every jump to a mark decodes seconds of video first, so switching between marks feels slow - the window says so and suggests converting the video. Nothing is changed or converted by itself.
- Support report (Help menu, or CTRL+SHIFT+S in any window, also while a message box is open): one window that collects what support needs - version, license key, System ID, computer, the System requirements check, the open marks file with a line per video, settings and the last errors - together with your description of what happened. Copy pastes it into WhatsApp or e-mail; Send delivers it to IceTime support in one click with a screenshot of the window, the marks file and the log attached. Every report has an ID such as SR-20260908-1432-7XK2 to mention when you write or call, and a copy is kept in Settings\SupportReports. After an unexpected error the program offers to send the report by itself.
### Updated
- Action Creator, quieter and clearer during a live game: no more pop-up windows in the marking flow - messages such as "add a mark first" appear as a small notice in the corner that fades by itself, and the first Synchro mark is added automatically at the current recording position when the recording is running, so the first action of the period no longer stops you with a dialog. A keyboard icon in the health strip turns orange while you are typing in a cell - that is when the single-key shortcuts are paused; Esc or a click on the icon takes you back to marking. Ctrl+Z now undoes the last right-click change to a mark (action or player overwrite), and when there is none, the last delete. And the Start recording button stays clickable even before the camera is connected: clicking it tells you what to do and opens the Recorder tab.
- Action Creator, made sturdier for live games: the ice time is now computed from a real clock (it no longer loses seconds when the program is busy saving or redrawing); marks are saved in the background so a slow or network drive never freezes the window mid-game; if the recording can no longer be written (disk full, writer error) it continues in a new file (game_part2.mp4) instead of stopping, with a quiet notice; every mark change is also written to a small local journal, so if the program is killed or the PC loses power, the next start offers to restore the marks that were not saved yet; typing a jersey number inserts the player immediately when no roster number could continue (e.g. "7" when nobody wears 70-79); and the team/side of a new mark is decided by one clear rule shared by keyboard, Stream Deck, Marker and the face-off dialog.
- Beta versions: "Offer beta versions" is now ON by default so everyone gets fixes sooner; the notice about a new test version has a "Do not notify me about test versions again" checkbox that turns the offer off in one click (Settings → Advanced turns it back on).
- The face-off dialog is now controlled in ONE place — the action itself ("This is a face-off button"). The global switch in Settings has been removed; if you had it turned OFF, the dialog will now open for every action you have marked as a face-off, and you turn it off by editing that action.
### Fixed
- Video opening: before a video is opened for playback, conversion or export, IceTime reads its beginning and end first. An antivirus scans a large video on its first open and can block it for tens of seconds; the video engine gave up with a timeout (0x800705B4) and the mark showed 'Video could not be opened' or the conversion failed although the file was there. When GPU decoding fails but the CPU opens the same video, the GPU is skipped for 15 minutes instead of every mark switch paying the GPU timeout again (up to ~18 s per mark on a laptop). The Video Converter retries a source that did not open once before marking it failed. The support report shows which decoder is in use.
- Presentation: when a video cannot be opened the player tries once more after a short pause; if it still fails it says the video could not be opened and names the file and the reason, instead of claiming the mark file is missing. Customer logs showed the reader timing out on a file that was on the disk all along (it may still be copying, be scanned by antivirus, or be open in another program).
- Edit mark: on some machines the window opened as a title bar only. It now takes just the position from the remembered window bounds, has a minimum size, and a saved size below 200 px is ignored for every window.
- Exporting with Crop area: the first second of the video was zoomed in too far and then snapped to the correct picture. The crop was being re-applied to the same paused frame throughout the opening fade, so it stacked up frame by frame.

## [26.09.01.0] - 2026-09-01
### Added
- Beta versions between releases (optional): official versions come out about once a month, but fixes are usually ready within days. Turn on "Offer beta versions" in Settings → Advanced and IceTime checks once a day — only when you are online — whether a newer test build was published. You get a small notice in the corner (never a dialog in your face, never during recording, live streaming or rendering) plus a quiet marker in the status bar, telling you which version is out, how many test builds have been released since yours and WHAT changed in them. One click downloads the installer in the background while you keep working; it installs the next time you start IceTime, so nothing interrupts you now. The download is verified by content fingerprint and digital signature before anything is run. Leave the option off and nothing changes — you keep getting the official monthly release exactly as before.
- Keep several named action sets side by side — for example seniors, juniors — switch between them in Settings, and export or import a set to share it with colleagues.
- Import marks from ANY CSV: the new "CSV (map columns)" button in Presentation → Import reads any comma, semicolon or tab separated export and lets you say which column is what. The mapping is pre-filled from the header names (Name/Action, Position/Time, Duration, Period, EasyTag/Result, Player, Team, Note — English and Slovak, with or without diacritics), so a typical export is confirmed with a single click; anything unusual you fix in the dialog, with a preview of the first rows right next to it. The app also detects the separator, whether the first row is a header (untick the box and the first record is imported too) and whether times are in seconds, milliseconds or mm:ss — all of it visible and changeable before you import. Periods are converted to the format the app uses itself (1 → I.), so imported marks are found by the period filter and counted correctly in face-off statistics, and the duration from the file becomes the time AFTER the mark. A row with an unreadable time is SKIPPED and the summary names the row and the reason, instead of silently placing every mark at 00:00. Times can be shifted by a fixed number of seconds when the video starts earlier than the source measurement. The existing imports (DartFish, DartFish Note, DartFish Program, Stengl IceTime) stay exactly as they were.
- Animated overlay drawings — drawings that live WITH the clip: draw objects over the video (light cone, circle, text, arrow, shot line...) with the new "Overlay drawing" button and they stay visible while the clip PLAYS — and can follow a player along a path you define. Turn on "Overlay keyframes", pause a bit further and simply DRAG the object to the player's new position; every release stores a path point (green diamond on the progress bar) and the object moves smoothly between the points. The first diamond shows the object and the last one hides it (a static object stays until the end of the clip), so a note drawn mid-action appears exactly when you drew it. Right-click an object for its menu: add/delete a path point, show FROM / UNTIL this position (also "UNTIL for ALL objects" to end the whole graphic at once), show for the whole clip, or delete it. While editing you see a yellow frame around the object you are holding, its full path with the points, a banner reminding you the path-editing mode is on, and a "?" button with a step-by-step guide. The overlay belongs to the camera it was drawn on, survives clip retrims (/ and *) without breaking the path, and is burned into exported videos, Bench tablet compacts and "Pack game" transfers automatically.
- Stopwatch in an overlay drawing — show the coach how LONG an action took: pick the new stopwatch tool (W) in the overlay drawing window, drag a box anywhere over the picture, and it counts up from zero while the clip plays (MM:SS.t). It is an ordinary rectangle in every other respect, so you set the background, outline, text colour, opacity and thickness exactly as you do for any other shape, and you resize and move it the same way. The clock is driven by the VIDEO, not by the wall clock: pause and it pauses with you, step frame by frame or rewind and it shows the time that belongs to that moment, and play at half speed and it still measures real match time. It starts from zero where you drew it — even if you later choose "Show for whole clip" — and you end it exactly like any other overlay object, with a right-click and "Show UNTIL this position". The stopwatch is burned into exported videos and Bench tablet compacts just like the rest of the overlay, so what you see in the player is what the team sees. Because a stop (a pause with a drawing) freezes the video, it freezes the stopwatch too — in the player and in the exported clip alike. The tool is available only for overlay drawings; in a still drawing on a stop there is nothing to measure, so the button stays greyed out.
- Click the mark progress bar to jump: clicking anywhere on the progress bar under the grid (or on the second monitor) seeks the player to that moment; hold and drag to scrub. Red stop lines and green path diamonds sit on the same bar, so you can jump straight to them — and the diamonds are now visible whenever the mark has an overlay, so you immediately see which marks carry graphics.
- Minimum system requirements check at startup: customers install IceTime on all kinds of computers — the app now checks the machine on first start and shows a clear red warning when it is below the minimum (i7-class processor, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11, and at least 1920×1080 of usable screen area — at Full HD the Windows Scale must be 100 %, at higher resolutions the dialog tells you the maximum Scale to use). Each requirement shows a ✔/✖ with what this PC actually has, plus recommendations (dedicated NVIDIA graphics, HDMI/USB-C output for a TV or projector, Thunderbolt for live capture devices, a numeric keypad and a mouse). An "I acknowledge this" checkbox hides the warning for good — and Tools → System requirements opens the same overview any time (with a green header when the computer passes), where un-ticking the checkbox brings the startup warning back.
- Face-off live sharing from the Action Creator: share the live face-off statistics with the bench in one click - the app creates a web link and a 6-digit TV code (shown as 3+3 for easy typing) that coaches open on any phone, tablet or rink TV; the page updates live during the match and the share expires automatically after 48 hours. A new source filter (all sources / only this computer / a specific Marker device) keeps the numbers clean when both the desktop and the Marker web app record face-offs.
- Drawing over PiP: drawings, text overlay and logo are now rendered ABOVE the picture-in-picture window, in the player as well as in exported video - previously the PiP window could cover them.
- Video Trimmer - Crop area: export only a part of the picture for any kept take (e.g. one third of the rink from a full-rink camera). Drag the corners of a rectangle over the frozen frame (aspect ratio stays locked to the video, so nothing gets distorted), move it, apply it to one take or to all takes of the video; new takes inherit the last used crop. A minimum size and a quality hint protect against unusable crops, cropped takes are marked on the timeline, and the playback preview shows EXACTLY what will be exported - including the softer look of a small crop. The active take now also follows the playback cursor, so the crop always belongs to the take you are watching.
- License window: press Ctrl+Shift+L ANYWHERE in the program to open it (one sentence to say on the phone). The window now shows a QR code - scan it with a phone camera and a page opens with the License Key, System ID, version and computer name ready to copy and send to support - plus a 6-digit support code (valid 48 h) you can simply read to us on the phone so we find your license instantly. A "Copy support info" button puts all the details in the clipboard as text.
- Marks are now auto-saved every minute in the Action Creator (previously only after every 11th mark or when the window lost focus - a crash could lose up to 10 marks of a live game). The "Last Saved" label turns ORANGE while there are unsaved changes.
- Free disk space is now watched DURING recording (every 30 s): when it drops below 5 GB, the recording time turns orange and a one-time warning appears - previously the problem was only discovered when the recording hard-stopped mid-period.
- Grid column layouts (Presentation and Action Creator) are saved automatically when the window closes - no more lost column widths because "Save layout" was not clicked.
- Face-off dialog: keyboard shortcuts are shown on the buttons (W = won, L = lost, Esc = cancel) and you can select the player by TYPING the jersey number - no mouse needed during a game.
- Pack game for transfer: right-click a tab in Presentation → "Pack game for transfer" copies the marks file, all its videos and the drawings/voice-notes sidecar into one folder (e.g. on a USB stick), with the video paths rewritten so the game opens correctly on another computer.
- Video Trimmer can add a fade between the kept parts (new "Fade between parts" option) instead of a hard cut.
- Drag & drop marks files (XML) onto the Presentation grid to open them in a new tab; dropping a folder with unsupported files now shows one summary message instead of a popup per file. You can also drag & drop videos into the Video Trimmer.
- Export window now shows an estimate before you start (number of clips · total length · approximate size), and remembers the output file name / prefix between exports.
- Processing queue window: shows what is rendering right now and the estimated time remaining, a right-click menu (render this next / remove / open output folder) and a "Stop processing" button that keeps the current clip and discards the rest. The taskbar icon shows render progress even when the window is minimized, and a click-to-open-folder toast appears when an export finishes.
- Dialog windows (filter, mark edit, drawing, the player, title-card gallery) now remember their size and position, and Settings reopens on the last tab you used.
- Protection against antivirus false-positives: some antivirus programs mistakenly quarantine IceTime's video components (the native FFmpeg libraries), which used to cause a cryptic Windows "Bad Image" error at startup (status 0xc0e90002) and stop the app from opening. IceTime now offers, once on first run, to add its installation folder to the Windows Defender exclusions with a single click (Windows asks for administrator confirmation). On top of that, IceTime now starts through a small, dependency-free launcher that verifies these components before launch; if one is damaged or missing it shows a clear explanation with a one-click Defender exclusion, a button to open Windows Security, and guidance to reinstall - instead of the old unreadable crash. (Deployment note: the desktop shortcut must point to IceTimeLauncher.exe for the pre-launch check to apply.)
- Video synchronisation, rebuilt around what coaches actually do: a new "? How does this work" button in Presentation → Synchronisation opens a window that explains the whole procedure with a picture — marks carry the match clock, the video has its own timeline, and synchronising tells the app how far apart they are. It walks you through the real workflow: stand on the OPENING FACE-OFF of the period, open the video and write it into the marks from that mark down, step to the exact moment the puck is dropped with the numeric keypad (1/3 one frame, 4/6 ten frames) and click Synchro — that mark becomes the ANCHOR and everything below it keeps its distance from it; then do the same for the next period. The buttons say what they do ("2. Video for marks from here down", "3. Synchro from here down") and the time switch now names what it uses ("Gaps from match clock" / "Gaps from video time") instead of the old wording. The redundant "Video for all actions" is gone — standing on the first mark does exactly that.
- The marks grid in Presentation shows a thin colour strip at the left of each row: turquoise top half = the mark has a drawing, orange bottom half = it has an animated overlay, the whole strip violet = it is a picture mark. You can see at a glance which marks carry graphics.
### Updated
- Marks sent to the Bench tablet now carry an absolute UTC timestamp, so they anchor and play correctly even when the tablet is in a different time zone than the PC.
### Fixed
- Exporting marks one clip per mark could silently overwrite a clip: the file name is built from the mark number, team and action, and a mark number is deliberately kept when marks are copied into a playlist - so two marks in one playlist could produce the same file name and you got one clip fewer, with no warning.
- Stops (the pause with a drawing) were baked into the exported clip only for camera 1. If you exported camera 2 or 3 on its own, the clip came out without any pauses or drawings.
- Keyboard shortcuts, custom subactions and the player roster are now written the same safe way the action buttons already were: to a temporary file first. A crash or power cut while saving no longer leaves half a file that resets your setup to factory defaults on the next start.
- A damaged marks file no longer disappears without a word. The most common damage (a file cut short, e.g. the computer switched off while saving) was handled silently: the file was renamed and an empty list opened, so it looked like everything was lost. The app now explains what happened, that your original file was NOT deleted, and exactly where it is.
- Face-off statistics no longer depend on the team NAMES matching. Every face-off now stores its own result (won/lost from your team's point of view) and which side you played, so the numbers stay correct after copying marks into a playlist, in a playlist built from several games, and even when every game uses the same placeholder team names. Marks made before this update keep working the way they did.
- Face-off statistics in a playlist built from SEVERAL games no longer count other games' face-offs as your losses - previously your success rate dropped with every game you added to the playlist.
- A face-off received from the Marker web app when NO game is set up there was counted as neither won nor lost - the Won/Lost the coach tapped was discarded. It is now kept.
- The face-off statistics window warns when the same face-off arrived twice - marked on the desktop AND received from the Marker - so the counts are not silently doubled. The source selector now says "Action Creator" and "marker.videoanalysis.sk" instead of technical names, and remembers your choice.
- F5 (swap team) and changing the team in the mark editor now also correct the face-off result, so a mis-marked face-off can be fixed again. F5 in the Action Creator now applies to all selected marks, as its tooltip always promised.
- CSV import wrote the same team into both the team and the opponent field, which made F5 (swap team) do nothing on imported marks; when the file had no team column it wrote the placeholder names instead of the real teams of the game.
- Face-off statistics in a new playlist showed every face-off as LOST. The marks were copied correctly - only the playlist's game header still had the placeholder team names, and the statistics take "our team" from the header while the winner is stored on the mark. A playlist that has no teams of its own now inherits them from the source (drag & drop, Add to Playlist and Save as New Playlist alike); a playlist with its own teams is left alone.
- CSV import: a full-game export with times in SECONDS was read as milliseconds, so every mark landed in the first few seconds of the video. The guess used one hour as the dividing line, and a game recording is normally 90-120 minutes.
- CSV import: when the time column is in mm:ss and the duration column is a plain number of seconds (a very common combination), the duration was unreadable and every mark got zero length - and the import still reported "Skipped: 0".
- Colour filter in the mark filter reworked. Nothing selected = no colour restriction; selecting colours filters to them; selecting ALL colours means "only coloured marks" - which previously turned the filter off completely, so uncoloured marks showed up too. Clicking a colour now simply toggles it: the dialog used to open with all 16 colours ticked, so clicking red actually UNTICKED it and you got everything EXCEPT red. Your saved colour selection is reset once on the first open.
- Marks from the 4th period (4th quarter in basketball) are no longer hidden by default: that one period was pre-set to "unticked" in the filter, so filtering silently dropped every mark from it - and a version update pushed the setting back even after you fixed it by hand.
- Searching the marks for text containing a backslash (e.g. a path in a note) showed a count of 0 and greyed out the OK button, although the grid would have found those marks.
- The tag buttons (All/1/2/3) no longer lie: confirming the filter dialog replaces the tag filter, but the tag button stayed highlighted as if it were still active.
- Stopping the processing queue no longer reports success: exporting clips said "Export finished. The clips were exported." and a stopped Compact even finished its package and announced "Compact finished", although marks were missing from it. Both now say the run was stopped and how many clips were not created.
- Compact packages no longer carry your licence key. It was written both into the package manifest and into the marks file inside the package, and the whole folder travels to the tablet, the cloud or a USB stick. (Packages created before this update still contain it.)
- Drawings opened from someone else's Compact package can no longer run code on your computer: the drawing file said which class to create and anything was accepted. Only the app's own drawing types are allowed now; an unknown object is skipped and the rest of the drawing still loads.
- Duplicate jersey numbers are reported when you edit the roster by hand, not only when importing it - a player is attached to a mark by TYPING the number, so with two identical numbers the second player never receives a single mark.
- Custom actions whose name starts with "Action" (e.g. "Action zone entry") are no longer missing from the statistics action picker.
- Settings windows for logo, text overlay, transitions and the recording file name no longer leak memory each time they are opened.
- Screen capture settings were not applied at startup at all: the screen chosen in "Set display for recording" was ignored (recording always came from the primary screen) until the value was switched away and back. The same applied to frame rate, capture mode, sampler, mouse and click display, captured frame size, aspect ratio, following mode, sound, timecode and the separate-process option — all of them ran on defaults after every start.
- The recording INPUT LINE of the capture device (HDMI 1, SDI 2...) was saved but never restored — every start silently reverted to whatever the card reported, so recording could come from a different input than the one set.
- Synchronisation could land on the WRONG marks: "Video for marks from here down", "Synchro from here down" and the clearing double-click walk the list downwards, but sorting or grouping was not cleared first (only filtering was). The app now asks and clears them, the same way it already did with filters.
- Clicking "Video for marks" BEFORE opening a video used to erase the video of every mark from the cursor down (it wrote an empty path). It now refuses with an explanation.
- Assigning video in bulk overwrote the picture of PICTURE marks (they keep their image in the video slot). They are skipped now and the message says how many were kept.
- The synchronisation slot carried over between open games: after synchronising camera 2 in one game, switching to another game still wrote into slot 2. The slot is now remembered per game, like the filter, sorting and focused row.
- A single mark with an unusual time format could crash the whole synchronisation. Such marks are now skipped (and reported), and an unreadable anchor stops the action with an explanation.
- Recording a voice note crashed the dialog when the microphone was unplugged mid-recording.
- Face-off live sharing: when the first start failed (no internet, server error), the button stayed lit as if sharing was running and further clicks did nothing until the app was restarted.
- Emoji in mark notes disappeared from Excel exports written without Microsoft Office installed.
- Exporting a trimmed clip under a name reserved by Windows (CON, PRN, LPT1...) failed with a cryptic error; such names now get an underscore.
- ALT+Up / ALT+Down (move marks) did nothing in Presentation although the tooltip promised it; the tooltips also now mention the faster steps (CTRL+click moves by 10 rows, SHIFT+click by 20).
- Exported videos now play correctly in VLC. On computers with an NVIDIA graphics card the encoder packed every frame into 64 slices, which VLC's decoder cannot handle - the bottom of the picture turned into a smeared blur (other players were fine, so the files looked "randomly broken"). All exports (trimmer, mark reencode, compacts, recordings) now use a single-slice, higher-quality encoder preset.
- Saving marks to a disconnected network drive no longer loses work: the save is retried automatically (short network hiccups pass unnoticed), and if it still fails, the marks are written to a local recovery copy (C:\HockeyAnalysis\data\marks\_recovery) and the error message names both the reason and the recovery file.
- The recorder remembers the chosen output container again - it no longer offers MOV first after a restart; the default is MP4.
- MQTT connection with outdated credentials (NotAuthorized) now re-downloads fresh credentials from the license portal automatically and reconnects - no more manual "Fetch MQTT" after the portal rotates the keys.

## [26.08.01.0] - 2026-08-01
### Added
- Face-off dialog (Action Creator): a face-off entry window like the Marker web app - pick the face-off spot on the rink (A-I), optionally pick the player, choose the period, and click WON or LOST. The dialog fills the winner (mTeam), the zone (mHomefaceoff/mAwayfaceoff) and the player consistently with the face-off statistics, so no more F2/F3 before or F5 after. Mark a button as a face-off button in its settings (new checkbox), and toggle the whole feature in Settings > General ("Use the face-off dialog..."). When off, face-off buttons work exactly as before (rink + F2/F3 + F5). Keys in the dialog: A-I zone, W/Enter = WON, L = LOST, Esc = Cancel.
- 15 new default title card backgrounds (rink views, zones, goalie, crease, ...) — seeded automatically to both new and existing installations. All defaults are prepared in Full HD 16:9 with a solid white background.
- Presentation player: NumPad 8 / NumPad 2 (and top-row 8 / 2) now jump to the previous / next mark, same as in Presentation. The rest of the NumPad video control (0 pause, 1/3 ±1 frame, 4/6 ±10, 7/9 ±100, 5 repeat) was already available.
- Marks: new "Remove video from slot" menu in the video-slot ribbon group - removes the video path from slot 2 or 3 of ALL marks in the current playlist at once (with a confirmation showing how many marks are affected; files on disk are not touched). Use it when you do not have the extra camera (e.g. GoPro in slot 2) and do not want the app to keep reporting its files as missing. If sync/playback pointed at the cleared slot, it switches back to video 1.
- Video Picture-in-Picture: a clip's second camera (video slot 2 or 3, e.g. a GoPro behind the goal) can now be shown as a live PiP window over the main video - both cameras play in sync (including pause, slow motion and stepping; per-camera synchro shifts are respected). New "Add video PiP" button next to Add PiP: pick the camera, place/resize the window on the frozen frame and set the time window and opacity exactly like an image PiP. Edit/Remove and the PiP In/Out buttons work the same. Audio always comes from the main camera. Not included in compact exports (desktop playback only); rotation is not supported for video PiP.
- Drawing: Light cone now keeps the player ABOVE the light pool — the same on-device AI finds the player standing in the ellipse and the ellipse (and its shadow) is drawn around their silhouette, so skates and legs are no longer covered and the light reads as coming from above. Recomputed when the cone is drawn, moved or resized; if no player is detected, the cone renders as before.
- Drawing: new "AI cut player" (smart scissors) next to Cut — draw a loose shape around a player and the AI refines it to the exact silhouette (skates, stick and all) before cutting. Runs a small on-device segmentation model (u2netp via ONNX Runtime, CPU, no internet needed); if no player is detected, the manual selection is used. The cut silhouette is expanded by a few pixels so no player fringe stays behind.
- Drawing: new "Insert image object..." — place an image from disk (e.g. a drill diagram) as a movable, resizable object on the video frame. Opacity and border are set in the Rectangles panel. The image is copied next to the marks file, so drawings travel with the folder to other computers; it also renders during playback stops and gets baked into Bench compact renditions.
- Video Trimmer — new tool that cuts the best parts out of long training recordings and renders them as separate clips or one combined video, with batch support, timeline zoom, keyboard shortcuts, undo, autosave and live render progress.
- Tools menu — Video Converter and the new Video Trimmer are now available from the main window, without opening a presentation.
- Face-off dialog — enter face-offs Marker-style in a few clicks: spot on the rink, player, period and WON/LOST, with keyboard shortcuts and remembered last period.
- Roster import from CSV / JSON — load players from Drill app exports or spreadsheets (any column order, comma or semicolon, missing jersey numbers allowed), with a built-in ? help showing the expected formats.
- Voice notes on marks — record a microphone note anchored to the exact moment of the clip; it plays during playback and is mixed into exported video, extending it if the note outlasts the clip.
### Updated
- Title card composition redesigned: every card is now composed on a fixed 16:9 canvas (1920×1080) matching the video, so the editor preview, the gallery thumbnail and the video all show the same result. The background image is placed FIT (aspect ratio preserved, centered) — an exact 16:9 image fills the card edge-to-edge, other ratios get white bars instead of being stretched. Transparent backgrounds are automatically flattened onto white (in the card, in thumbnails and when drawing over a gallery background) — previously they rendered as a checkerboard in the video. No automatic padding is added; rink backgrounds carry their margin baked into the image. Existing saved cards pick the new composition up after re-saving (Edit → Save).
- Title card gallery: backgrounds/cards can be reordered by drag & drop (drop on an item inserts before it, drop on empty space moves to the end); the order is remembered per folder (.order file), files without a custom order sort alphabetically (previously newest-first by file date). Reordering moves the tile instantly without reloading images. Thumbnails now show the whole image (fit, white background, small padding) instead of cropping the edges.
### Fixed
- File check (Check XML files): TryFix now really writes the corrected video paths. Previously the fix silently failed on many files (strict mID + XML namespace lookup threw an error that also aborted the rest of the batch) while the UI already showed the files as fixed (green). The fix is now matched by the old path value, works with or without XML namespace, fixes all occurrences, and a summary shows exactly how many references in how many files were written (with a list of failures, if any). The green list shows the new path instead of the old one. If the fixed playlist is currently open, the correction is applied to the open tabs as well - previously the next autosave overwrote the fixed XML with the old paths, so the files appeared missing again.
- Presentation Home/Away team buttons now always reflect the currently active tab. Closing the active match tab left the team buttons showing the closed match's teams, so new marks in the remaining match were tagged with the wrong team — the buttons are now refreshed for the newly active tab on close (as they already were on tab open and switch).

### Added
- Voice recognition engine replaced: System.Speech.Recognition replaced with Vosk (offline, grammar-limited mode). Dramatically improved accuracy with constrained vocabulary matching only known command phrases.
- Voice command aliases — each command can have multiple trigger phrases (e.g., "faceoff", "face off", "vhadzovanie"). Defined in VoiceCommands.json.
- Visual feedback on toggleVoiceControl: green = command recognized, yellow = speech in progress, gray = unknown phrase. Resets after 2 seconds.
- Audio feedback — system beep (SystemSounds.Asterisk) on successful command recognition.
- IceTime stopwatch visual indicator (picStopWatch) — red filled stopwatch icon when timer is running, gray outline when stopped. Uses GDI+ drawn bitmap instead of SVG manipulation.
- Hardware shuttle exponential rate curve (position^1.5 * MaxRate) shared between on-screen usrJogShuttle and CTRL/SHIFT+1-7 hardware shortcuts. Visual sync via SetExternalRate/ResetPosition.
- Clip-to-clip crossfade transition — single frozen frame approach with GPU-native format (eMFCC_Default). Transition processing moved before ARGB32 conversion for GPU acceleration. All transition types (Fade, Slide, Barn, Iris, etc.) now work correctly.
- Transition settings simplified — removed Color/Image/Solid properties, only Fade/type/step remain.
- Per-tab filter settings — filter checkboxes (teams, periods, colors, faceoff positions, text fields) are now saved/restored per tab. Previously all tabs shared the same global filter settings, so switching tabs and opening frmVideoFilter showed the wrong checkboxes.
 - New class for syncing 51 filter properties between Settings and Tab Session.
 - Saves filter state before tab switch and than restores it.
- Action button auto-size — `btnActionAutoSize` click calculates optimal button width/height to fill FlowLayoutPanel1 in 2 columns × 15 rows based on current panel size. Values are written to `ActionButtonWidth` / `ActionButtonHeight` and persisted to settings.
- Multi-tab support in Presentation (frmVideo) — open multiple XML marks files simultaneously in browser-style tabs.
 - Tab bar with FlowLayoutPanel, auto-scroll when too many tabs.
 - [+] button to open existing XML file in new tab (duplicate file detection).
 - [New] button to create empty marks file in new tab (SaveFileDialog on first save, no frmProjekt needed).
 - Tab displays game name (Home vs Away) or filename; "New marks" for unsaved tabs.
 - Middle-click or × button to close tab (with save prompt if modified).
 - Modified indicator (●) on tab title for unsaved changes, clears on save.
 - Tab right-click context menu: Save, Save All, Close, Close Others, Close All.
 - Tab state persistence — open tabs and active index saved/restored across app restarts.
 - Drag & Drop marks from grid to tab button (default = Copy, Shift+Drag = Move).
 - Context menu "Copy to tab" / "Move to tab" submenus for selected marks.
 - Copied marks get new GUIDs, correct mSortOrder and mID in target tab.
 - Copy/move confirmation via non-blocking AlertControl instead of modal dialog.
- Pin Frame (onion-skin) in Presentation (frmVideo) — freeze the current frame as a semi-transparent reference "ghost" overlaid on the live, frame-steppable video to compare player positions before/after (e.g. a developing play).
 - Toolbar button in the player controls; on-video control (top-left) with a "Ghost" opacity slider.
 - Step the live frame with the existing ±1/±5 buttons or hotkeys while the frozen reference stays in place.
 - Mutually exclusive with scroll-zoom (enabling one turns the other off); overlay hides when the app loses focus.
- Drag & Drop reorder rows within grid — drag selected rows to new position (8px threshold prevents accidental drags).
- Recent files limit increased from 5 to 10.
- Separate "Show keyboard shortcuts on action buttons" checkboxes for Action Creator and Presentation.
- Hotkey assignment directly in Action Button editor — no need to go to Settings.
 - ComboBox with all available keys, duplicate detection with automatic swap.
 - "Show Assigned Hotkeys" button for full overview.
 - Label showing free (unassigned) keys.
 - Cancel restores original hotkey state (undo support).
- Removed hotkey management from Settings → Actions tab (GroupBoxActionsHotKeys).
- MJPG video format warning when selecting capture device format.
- Faceoff Statistics dialog (Action Creator) — zone-based faceoff win/loss breakdown (OZ/NZ/DZ) by period with stacked bar chart. Select team perspective and action type.
- Visual faceoff position selector on ice rink in Mark Edit dialog — replaces Home FO / Away FO combo boxes. Team labels swap to match main form layout.
- Settings file validation at startup — corrupted JSON files in Settings/ are automatically detected, renamed to .corrupted, and replaced with fresh defaults.
- Corrupted XML marks file handling — clear error message with option to move file to corrupted_marks folder (Action Creator + Presentation).
- Video control panel under video in Presentation — jog shuttle, trackbar, play/pause/stop/forward/backward/repeat, frame step ±1/±5, video slot checkboxes with SVG camera icons, second monitor toggle. Replaces ribbon video control buttons.
- Row reorder with active filter — btnRowUp/btnRowDown and drag & drop reorder now work even when a grid filter is active. Visible rows swap sort positions among themselves; hidden rows remain unchanged.
- Quick Tags (Tag 1–3) — each mark in Action Creator can be assigned up to three quick flags for fast preparation of marks for presentation during intermissions.
- Quick Player in Action Creator now displays all marks with Tag columns, enabling parallel marking and fast review/editing of marks without switching to Presentation mode.
- Scroll Zoom — mouse wheel zoom (100–500%) with cursor-pivot in both Mark Review Player and Presentation. Pan zoomed view by dragging with left mouse (when zoomed) or middle mouse button. Minimap overlay shows full-frame rectangle with blue viewport indicator, zoom percentage, and DevExpress slider for touchpad users. Zoom toggle button (vcScrollZoom) added to both player button rows.
- Drawing: Cut feature now fully functional — select area, cut and move to another position. Background filled with surrounding color instead of white.
- Drawing: New Copy button — copy selected area without modifying the original (keeps background intact).
- Drawing: CutPiece shapes can now be moved using the Select tool (drag & drop).
- Drawing: CutPiece bitmap data persisted via Base64 PNG encoding in JSON for reliable serialization.
- Drawing: New Spotlight action — select one or more shapes (rectangle, circle, polygon, …) and click "Spotlight" to darken the entire frame except the selected areas. The spotlight shape can be moved with the Select tool. Multiple shapes can be spotlighted simultaneously.
- License Migration Helper (LicenseHelper.exe) — automated license key retrieval during version upgrades. Runs automatically from InnoSetup installer when old license.key is detected.
- New unified mark editor replacing separate forms. Supports Presentation and Action Creator modes, 16-color palette, faceoff sync, team toggle buttons, multi-select subactions.
- mMQTTNote field — dedicated storage for remote info from MQTT (layout, time, UTC, sec diff). Previously mixed into mNote/mSubactionNote. Read-only display in frmMarkEdit `txtMQTTinfo`. Backward compatible: missing tag loads as empty string.
- Configurable maximum playback speed — (3..6x, default 3x). Persisted as Settings. Speed curve has 7 steps: 1-3 are fixed slow (0.2x, 0.5x, 0.8x — preserved for precise marking), 4-7 exponentially interpolate between 1x and the configured maximum (exponent 1.5).
- Added — Marker PWA (marker.videoanalysis.sk)
 - New Marker PWA web app — a modern browser-based marking client that replaces offline desktop marking for mobile/tablet use. Mark hockey games directly from your phone, tablet or laptop and see marks appear in real time in IceTime desktop via MQTT.
 - Offline-ready — marks created without internet are stored locally in the browser (IndexedDB) and automatically synced once the connection is restored. Install as a native-like app (Add to Home Screen) for fullscreen, tap-driven workflow.
 - Live Game Header — active session overlay with team names, score (± buttons), period cycle with automatic team swap between 1st↔2nd and 2nd↔3rd periods, per-team player count (3–6), quick 5v5 reset (EQ), manual team swap and active-team toggle.
 - Teams & Game setup — central Teams manager per organization, new-game dialog with team autocomplete, configurable home/away and "my team" marker.
 - Face-Off dialog — touch-friendly ice-rink picker (9 zones A–I with mirror mapping), player selection from roster, WON/LOST result, drop timestamp.
 - Keyboard shortcuts — actions and shortcut buttons can be bound to keys directly from the button editor. Shortcut buttons use smart toggle (ON/OFF based on current active state).
 - Full MQTT compatibility with IceTime desktop — marks, teams, period, score, players, faceoff zones and custom attributes.
 - Multi-layout support — switch between button grids, edit actions/shortcuts/attributes, drag-and-drop reorder, import/export layouts as JSON, guest mode for temporary access to another organization.
- New Auto-play next toggle in presentation — plays the next mark in the list automatically when the current one ends.
- Internal sub-actions storage consolidated into a single file. Migration from the old format runs automatically on first launch.
- Shuttle Pro v2 — the application now communicates directly with the device via HID protocol, no need to install or run the original Contour ShuttleControl Panel. Support for jog wheel, shuttle ring (with automatic reset on spring-back to center) and all 15 buttons. Automatic reconnect on USB unplug/replug. Works on Presentation and during review in Action creator with automatic handler switching between forms.
- Added "Presentation" button to Action Creator ribbon — opens the current marks file directly in the Presentation form with auto-save/reload synchronization between both forms.
- Settings Package — portable export/import of UI settings (Actions, Hotkeys, Subactions, Categories, Teams, Elgato, ShuttlePro, Voice Commands, Drawing, Templates) into a single ZIP. Group headers with descriptions under each checkbox explain what every file does. Unavailable files are auto-disabled. Last export selection is remembered across sessions. Two-phase import review shows exactly what the ZIP contains before confirming. Moved into the main Commands submenu.
- Settings Cloud (sync.icetime.eu) — shared SFTP storage for settings packages so users can transfer configuration between computers without USB sticks. Upload / Download buttons in Settings Package dialog. Dedicated upload dialog with auto-generated filename (prefix + machine name + timestamp, read-only to prevent mistakes) and live preview while typing prefix. Download dialog lists all available packages with size and modified date, filter "Show only mine" using a personal prefix (letters, digits, _ and - only). Test Connection button for diagnostics. Old packages are auto-deleted after 15 days by a server-side cron job.
- Face-Off Statistics — new Charts tab alongside Stats, with 4 charts (Overall Won/Lost donut, Won/Lost by Zone stacked bar, Won/Lost by Period grouped bar, top 10 Players ranked by Wilson Score as horizontal bars). Charts use the same color palette as the rest of the form (green/red/amber). Players Wilson chart shows the best player at the top.
- Face-Off Statistics — Capture both tabs to presentation button in the header. Automatically maximizes the form, takes high-resolution snapshots of both Stats and Charts tabs, saves them next to the marks XML in `snapShotImages/`, and inserts two image marks into the presentation grid. Form is restored to its original size afterwards.
- Face-Off Statistics — Help dialog (`?` button in header) with a comprehensive guide for customers: how "My Team" works, player assignment modes, face-off creation workflow on desktop and PWA, zone definitions, reading the statistics, Wilson Score ranking explanation with worked examples, and grid column descriptions.
- Marker — face-off stats now have Charts view with the same 4 charts as desktop (Overall donut, Zones stacked bar, Periods grouped bar, Top 10 Players Wilson). Implemented as pure inline SVG for zero additional bundle size (no chart library dependency). Responsive 1-column layout on mobile, 2×2 grid on tablet/desktop.
- Player click action — new mode 6 "Future Assigned Player" pre-selects a player for the NEXT mark to be created (written to `mAssignedPlayer` automatically on next mark). Plain click on a player button now triggers the configured mode 0–6 (previously only mode 0–5 on `frmZnacky` and 0–4 on `frmVideo` — now unified to 0–6 on both forms). ALT+click still assigns player directly to the currently selected mark regardless of mode.
- Capture frame as image mark — one-click action that captures the current video frame as JPG and immediately inserts it as an image mark into the grid. Replaces the previous three-button flow (OneShot JPG + OneShot PNG + Add Mark From Snapshot). Also shortcut CTRL+ALT+J.
- Edit Roster ribbon button — added to both Action Creator and Presentation (File section and new-in-presentation). Opens the players form directly; previously the only way was to click the invisible group-box header.
- Recording time stopwatch is now reset when the user clicks Connect device and when starting a new recording — previously the last recording's time stayed frozen on the label until the first timer tick.
- Image snapshots are now saved next to the marks XML (`<dir_of_xml>/snapShotImages/`) instead of a global folder. Applies to Capture & Insert, Paste from clipboard in image mark dialog, Face-Off Stats tab captures and Drawing's Save-as-image-mark. When the user moves the XML, all related images move with it automatically.
- Drawing: edit text after creation — double-click any text label or callout to re-open the editor. Press Enter to confirm, Esc to cancel.
- Drawing: multi-line text — press Shift+Enter while editing to insert a new line. Works for both plain text labels and callouts.
- Drawing: text alignment — three new buttons (Left / Center / Right) in the text properties panel. The choice is preserved when you save and re-open the drawing, in saved templates, and when you copy/paste shapes.
- Drawing: double-click on an empty callout opens the editor right away. Typing inside automatically turns the empty callout into a text callout while keeping all the visual settings (corner radius, tip position, fill and outline colors). Cancelling leaves the callout untouched.
- Drawing: when hovering over a text or callout shape in select mode, the cursor changes to a text-edit (I-beam) shape — a visual hint that you can double-click to edit.
- Drawing: the inline text editor auto-grows in width and height as you type. If the text gets too long, a vertical scrollbar appears.
- Drawing: text and callout tooltips updated with hints about double-click editing and Shift+Enter for new lines.
- Presentation: new hide-bottom-panel toggle that automatically recalculates the size of the left-panel marks so the layout stays readable; when the hidden panel is restored, the toggle re-syncs with its state.
- Presentation: when you copy a mark to another playlist tab, it now goes to the end of the target list instead of being mixed into the middle.
- Presentation: empty marks files can now be saved without an extra prompt.
- Per-tab grid layout persistence — column widths, visibility, and Tag 1 / 2 / 3 values are saved separately for each tab and restored when you reopen it.
- Settings: visual layout restructured for better grouping and readability.
- Settings: unified 16-color picker across Action Creator, the mark editor, and the filter dialog — a single shared palette with consistent visual feedback.
- Countdown timer in Action Creator — improved color transitions for the remaining-time states (normal / warning / critical) so it's easier to see at a glance.
### Fixed
- Tab button DevExpress SVG icons for close (×) and add (+) buttons replace plain text.
- Tab title no longer shows default "Home Team vs Away Team" — shows filename or "New marks" instead.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab (next/prev tab), Ctrl+W (close tab).
- Recent files now open in a new tab (with duplicate detection) instead of replacing current tab.
- Elgato StreamDeck handler accumulation — ConnectionStatusChanged handlers leaked on every form switch.
- MQTT handler leak on reconnect — RemoveHandler + Dispose before creating new client.
- Phidgets handler leak — RemoveHandler for all DigitalInput devices in FormClosing.
- Timer resource leaks — Timer1 and reconnectMQTTTimer now properly Disposed.
- CancellationTokenSource leak — old token Disposed before creating new one.
- WriteFrameToWebRTC — local reference capture prevents race condition with Close/Dispose.
- WebRTC writer not closed on recording stop — keeps writing across sessions.
- JSON log parse errors — SanitizeTextForJson uses Newtonsoft JsonConvert.ToString() for proper escaping.
- Phidget22 Designer error — moved all Phidget code to separate partial class file (frmZnacky.Phidgets.vb) to prevent Design-time errors.
- Removed unused frmPhidhgetInfo form — Phidget device info now shown in single summary dialog.
- The issue with accelerated playback in the Presentation, which occurred after changing the video source, has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue with rewinding in the presentation.
- Drawing: Fixed NotImplementedException crash when CutPiece was accidentally set as active drawing tool.
- Drawing: Fixed CloneShape not copying bitmap data for CutPiece shapes.
- Highlighter drawing fade — CTRL+left-click highlighter lines now fade smoothly over 2 seconds instead of staying visible and disappearing abruptly.
- F8 hotkey — restored after a regression. The same path is now correctly wired in both Action Creator and Presentation.
- Left toolbar icons — fixed an issue where the shortcut letter next to each tool icon (e.g. "(A)", "(O)") changed font when hovered, making the toolbar look unstable.
- Video filter — typing an unsupported character (apostrophe, unbalanced bracket, …) in a search field no longer crashes the dialog. The result counter shows "—" while the filter is unusable and the OK button stays disabled until you fix it.
- Recording position overflow log spam — when the user's clock is far off from the recording start, the same warning was logged for every action. Now logged once per session.
- Compact output — gracefully handles the case where the output folder is deleted or missing after the compact finished (instead of crashing the notification).
- Mark playback fallback path — when a marked video file is missing or unreadable, the player now pauses silently and shows the existing "missing file" banner instead of surfacing a recoverable error.
- Live capture device enumeration — sporadic SDK quirks (invalid device cast, empty media pool) no longer surface as errors; the affected device list is just left empty and the user can retry.
- File search through external drives — searches now silently skip system folders like Recycle Bin and System Volume Information that the user can't access, instead of stopping the whole scan when the first restricted folder is hit.
- Scroll-wheel zoom on touchpads and kinetic-scroll devices — extreme gesture inputs no longer trigger an arithmetic overflow. Zoom changes are capped to a sensible per-event rate.
- Zoom minimap overlay — fixed a rare crash when closing the Presentation while the mouse-wheel was still zooming.
- MQTT auto-reconnect — fixed a rare crash when the application is closed exactly during the moment a reconnect attempt is in flight.
- License server connectivity — DNS / timeout failures are now classified as warnings (an environmental issue) instead of errors.
- Hard exit diagnostics — when the application exits because of a licensing issue, the log now includes which part of the code triggered the exit, making support cases easier to investigate.
- Cleaner production logging — multiple repeated, non-actionable messages (uploads, expected user input cancellations, repeated license tampering signals, repeated internet time-sync failures, transient paint glitches in DevExpress controls) are now suppressed or logged once per session instead of flooding the central logs.
- Multiple bug fixes and stability improvements.
